Tutorial: Installing a Plugin / Mod on a Minecraft Server

Prerequisites:

  • Credentials to access

  • Access to the Minecraft server you wish to configure.

Step 1: Log in to the Control Panel

  1. Open your web browser and go to .

  2. Enter your login credentials (username and password) in the corresponding fields.

  3. Click the "Log In" button to access the control panel.

Step 2: Accessing Server Files

  1. Once logged in, you'll be directed to the control panel.

  2. In the main menu, look for and select the Minecraft server you wish to configure.

  3. Within the server's control panel, find the "Management" or "Administration" section.

  4. Within this section, select the "File Manager" option.

Step 3: Installing the Plugin

  1. Once in the "File Manager", you'll see a list of all files belonging to the Minecraft server.

  2. Locate and enter the directory or folder where plugins are stored. This directory is usually named "plugins" or "plugins".

  3. Within the plugins folder, click on the "Upload" or "Upload files" button.

  4. Select the plugin file you wish to install from your local computer.

  5. Once the file has been successfully uploaded, you'll see the plugin in the list of files within the plugins folder.

Step 4: Restarting the Server

  1. After uploading the plugin file, return to the main control panel of the server.

  2. Look for the option to restart the server. This may be labeled as "Restart", "Stop" and then "Start", or something similar.

  3. Confirm that you wish to restart the server.

  4. Once the server has restarted successfully, the plugin will be installed and ready to use.

That's it! You've successfully installed a plugin on your Minecraft server using the control panel provided by HidenCloud. You can now configure and manage the plugin as needed to enhance the security and gaming experience on your server.

Please note that to use plugins you must use a version that is compatible with plugins such as Paper or Spigot, Forge for mods and both Arclight. For more information: Change Minecraft Type and Version

Once you turn your server back on after changing the version, you will see the plugins or mods folder depending on the installed version.

Plugins or mods must be in .jar format, but you can upload them more quickly and easily by compressing them all into a zip, uploading the zip to the respective folder and then unzipping it. Add files
